Caring for Collections
Caring for Collections is an extensive resource outlining how the University of Melbourne’s Museums and Collections department cares for works of art. Students will gain insight into the key departments, staff roles, and procedures that ensure the incredibly varied works of art from the collections in our care, as well as new acquisitions and loans, are safely managed at all stages of exhibition-making. A variety of artworks from recent exhibitions are used as case studies to contextualise processes of museum-grade storage, conservation and display methods.
