Jenny Watson: Here, There and Everywhere

When

This exhibition has now ended.

Location

The Potter Museum of Art, Cnr of Swanston St and Masson Rd, Parkville

Here, There and Everywhere was the inaugural Vizard Foundation Contemporary Artist Project – a creative initiative designed to enable mid-career and senior artists to explore new directions in their practice.

Watson's career has flourished in the many countries where she has worked and exhibited. Here, There and Everywhere presented a selection of works produced or exhibited by Jenny Watson outside of Australia since 1972 and a new commission that reflects on this distinctive aspect of her experience. The exhibition brought together nearly 50 rarely seen paintings and works on paper by the artist, providing insight into the themes of internationalism, cosmopolitanism, locality and personal expression that have shaped Watson's art.
