John Brack

The Queen 1988

John Brack is one of Australia’s most influential twentieth century artists. He received early recognition at his first commercial exhibition in 1952 (the National Gallery of Victoria acquired a painting from this first show) and in the following decades Brack earned a reputation as a penetrating social commentator. He died in early 1999.
