The Potter Museum of Art is the custodian of the University of Melbourne Art Collection, the largest University-based art collection in Australia, compromising over 18,000 artworks. The collection includes major holdings of paintings, prints and drawings, ceramics, and sculpture, including contemporary Australian art and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art

The University Art Collection is displayed in curated exhibitions across cultural venues on campus and is accessible through teaching and learning programs.

If you wish to access the University Art Collection, have a general enquiry, or identify material in the catalogue that you would like to view in person, please submit an enquiry via the Access Request Form.

Please note that some collection items may not be suitable for digitisation due to factors such as age, fragility, copyright, and other considerations. In some circumstances, a fee may apply to image requests to recover costs associated with digitisation for publication and commercial use. A quote will be provided at the time of request.
